Use VidFare with AI
A public, read-only server so ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor can look up VidFare prices and cite vidfare.com.
https://mcp.vidfare.com/mcp. The server is public and read-only. No key and no sign-in.It reads prices.json and deals.json. It does not scrape vendor sites, and it does not invent a price when those files do not state one. Answers include the source, the date last checked, and a link back to VidFare.

ChatGPT
- If you do not see a way to add a server, open Settings, then Apps or Security, and turn on Developer mode.
- On the web, open Settings, then Apps, and create an app. In the desktop app, open Settings, then Plugins, then MCPs, and choose Add MCP server.
- Name it VidFare. If it asks for a transport, choose Streamable HTTP.
- Paste
https://mcp.vidfare.com/mcp. - Leave the token, headers, and OAuth client empty. Save, then ask for a VidFare price.
Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors. On claude.ai that is Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it VidFare and paste
https://mcp.vidfare.com/mcp. - Leave the OAuth client id and secret blank, then add it. If a sign-in window opens, close it. This server has no account.
- Allow the tools. They only read public prices.
Cursor
For one project, save this as .cursor/mcp.json. For every project, save it as ~/.cursor/mcp.json. The same JSON also works as .mcp.json.
{
"mcpServers": {
"vidfare": {
"url": "https://mcp.vidfare.com/mcp"
}
}
}
The copy in the repository is mcp-server/.mcp.json. Save the file. Cursor lists VidFare under Settings, then MCP. There is no API key.
The price file is still here
Scripts that fetch JSON can keep using the data page. The assistant server is another way to read the same catalog.
